time is flying by....

On Monday I called my mom at work and said "work sucks". We we both on vacation the week before and I made a pack with her: if I win the lottery, she'll never have to work again. She said the same for me.

I applied for a job internally as a Lost Time adjuster that have me handling more complicated claims. I had an interview for it on Wednesday. I think it went well. I have a few friends (coworkers) that already moved into the department and are putting good words for me into the leadership teams over there. They're telling me it's all good, but I'd rather wait until I hear for myself. I should know by the end of next week.

Our daycare lady is the BEST. She bought Jake a t-shirt from her vacation, and she takes him to McDonalds about once/week. She takes him to the library, she works with him on the computer and with reading. I'm so blessed to have found her.

Friday, I was able to get my sister Donna an interview internally. This will happen on Wednesday. It would be for the same position I'm currently working, so I can coach her on what to say about why she'd fit in the job. It would be cool working with my sister.

While driving home, Jake's friend wants him to come over, so I called his mom and offered to drop him off after I pick him up from the sitter. He ended up spending the night and not coming home until this morning. Today, we all went to the park district pool. We took 2 cars so I could leave early with Nate: he shouldn't be out in the sun for that long. We run into our next door neighbor while at the pool: she picked the chair right next to Steve without knowing. Anyway, Jake got to play with her grandson and granddaughter.

It's been an exhausting 36 hours for him, and he crashed right after dinner.
